Year of Wellbeing logoTime to Talk Day 2019

Thursday 7 February

Thanks for joining the action on Thursday 7 February!

On Time to Talk Day, we wanted everyone to have a conversation about mental health.

In Coventry and Warwickshire, we are working throughout our Year of Wellbeing 2019 to inspire and empower people to make changes that will improve their wellbeing, and the wellbeing of people around them. That’s why we supported Time to Change's Time to Talk Day initiative. And we were so pleased you joined in, too!

Time to change logoThis year’s Time to Talk Day was all about bringing together the right ingredients to have a conversation about mental health. Whether that’s tea, biscuits and close friends, or a room full of people challenging mental health stigma, we want to get talking.

To support Time to Talk Day 2019 in our area:

  • Read Jackie’s blog for Time to Talk Day.
  • Health Secretary Matt Hancock made his pledge to improve wellbeing during a visit to George Eliot Hospital, Nuneaton. Read more about his visit here. The hospital launched their brand new Wellbeing Walkway, together with staff wellness resources and additional support.
  • Coventry and Warwickshire Mind’s campaign bus was stationed in Broadgate, in Coventry city centre, on the day. They were so busy! You can see a quick update, filmed on the day, here.
  • Free Radio adverts about Time to Talk Day in our area helped raise the profile of the importance of just talking to help people’s wellbeing.
  • Free editable Time to Talk resources were a great help to colleagues holding sessions about staff wellbeing.
  • We created new ‘Boost your Wellbeing’ posters which are available to download and print out - Coventry poster and Warwickshire poster.
  • Lots of you joined in, and posted pictures of your activity in social media to #letsdothistogethercw and #onething #YearofWellbeing. Thank you!
  • Don’t forget you can join the national conversation any time at #timetotalkday.
